The Happy Coupon Mom is actually two Happy Coupon Moms! We both live in Spokane, WA, both happen to have youth-pastor husbands, and both have two busy little boys. We've been couponing for the past year, and now we want to bring you along on our coupon adventures.
Life can get a little crazy sometimes. It can be hectic and confusing and even a little scary...but it can be very happy, too!
We spend our days raising our boys, trying to live a healthy & natural lifestyle, being pastor's wives AND living on a "shoestring" budget.
I've always had to stretch our dollars, but when the economy fell apart, we found ourselves in a situation where we had to keep stretching further than it seemed possible. We didn't know how we were going to do it. We were scared. We prayed. Then, as He always does, God answered. The answer didn't come how we had imagined it might...not through a higher salary. Not through a bonus. Not through the disappearance of our bills (though we were able to cut them drastically!) The answer came through learning how to coupon. Hmph! Of all things....the answer came through those silly little coupon inserts in the paper, and from print-outs on my computer.
I've learned how to coupon by piecing together information from lots of other coupon blogs. I invested a few weeks in scouring every coupon blog I could find. I spent about 6 weeks building up my coupon collection. And, then, it took a few more days to figure out a good system of organization for all those hundreds of coupons. With each week that passed, I watched my grocery budget diminish down to virtually nothing, and I saw my ability to give to those in need grow beyond anything I could have ever imagined!
